Myriam started off her academic journey in Biology before shifting towards Finance and Electronic Business Systems at Concordia University.
Given her family’s history with entrepreneurship, Myriam decided to a follow similar path after she discovered her interest in web development and soon started her own web design company, Pixellent Studio. She later pivoted to become a consultant for small businesses and startups. During the height of the pandemic, Myriam developed an offering she calls operational streamlining where she helps entrepreneurs simplify and automate their processes so they can spend less time on admin tasks and more time on revenue generation.
Her entrepreneurial endeavors continue with her work on a new company, The Fatshionista – a platform that will not only help plus-sized women access vintage clothing, but also give them a place to come together without fat-shaming and judgement. The Fatshionista will reclaim the word “fat” and take away the negative connections weighing it down.
In the meantime, Myriam works as an agent for a branch of the Canadian federal government.
